noun: one who celebrates the Bacchanalia, a festival of Bacchus, the god of wine and giver of pleasure.

"Wow! Danielle was awesome. Her complete knowledge of everything wine was amazing. One thing that struck everyone was her ability to be as technical as the group wanted, then easily switch gears and answer follow-up questions in a way that everyone was able to understand. Not only did Danielle make this a fun event, but I believe at the end of the day everyone had a much better understanding about how to enjoy wine." - Art M. (Vallejo via Thumbtack)
About Danielle
“I graduated from Berkeley in Art History and always thought I would pursue that, but I realized post-college I could apply all that questioning - history, geography, aesthetics and language - to wine. Talking to people about wine has become my favorite thing the world; not only what it is, but how it is and why it is. To me, it’s history in a glass.”
Danielle received her Sommelier Certification through the Court of Master Sommeliers in New York City in 2014. A seasoned veteran of the food and wine world, she has over a decade of experience working professionally in San Francisco, New York City and Berlin. Her background in restaurants, retail and importing & distribution introduced her to countless wines and winemakers and provided opportunities to travel across Europe and the U.S. to visit some of the world's most-venerated wine regions. She has apprenticed harvests in California, worked as a sommelier in high-profile New York City restaurants and spent considerable time in Europe exploring the wine and restaurant world abroad.
